Who are we?
Lions are a group of volunteers of legal age, with good moral character and reputation within our community. We are members of Lions Clubs International, founded in 1917 and is now the world’s largest service club organization with over 1.4 million members in 190 countries.
We volunteer our time to humanitarian causes in our community and around the world.
Lions chose blindness prevention as a theme in 1925 when Helen Keller challenged Lions to become “Knights of the Blind.”

The Peachland Lions maintain an active schedule of events in our community. We are always happy to have new members come out and join the crew. The Peachland Lions can afford you the opportunity to give back to the community and make new friends in the process. Aside from community involvement we are also a very socially active club Activities Fundraising Our famous Lions BBQ & Pancake Breakfasts at local events & Canada Day Annual Charity Golf Tournament The Peachland Lions funded the only wheelchair access to Lake Okanagan in the region at Swim Bay. We also provided a waterproof wheelchair for the benefit of those wishing to use the facility.

Peachland Lions’ “Hope for the Holidays” Sale Supports Summerland Wildfire Relief.
That’s a wrap! The Peachland Lions Club would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to everyone that supported our “Hope for the Holidays” fundraising event. From the mountain of donated goods to the support of the community buying those goods it was wonderful to see. It was also heartwarming to know that some of the Total Loss Families from the Bald Range fire were able to participate and get a few items to help them on the long road to recovery.
Thanks go out to the 50 Plus Activity Centre for donating the venue. Lions from the Penticton, WestBank and Kelowna Mission clubs all pitched in to help. We were also lucky to have several community members, friends of our members come out and help with the heavy lifting.
Our vision of providing a little bit of Christmas for the families most impacted by the fire is closer to reality. 100% of the proceeds as well as donations from other Lions Clubs will be distributed to impacted families in December. We are working with the Summerland Food Bank as well. Likewise the Patan family and their Free Store are providing guidance and assistance.

The Lions are meeting once again! We meet the second and fourth Wednesday of the month. The second Wednesday is a business meeting at 7PM in the banquet room of the Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6th Street. The fourth Wednesday is a dinner meeting at 6:30PM in the banquet room of the community Centre, 4450 6th Street.
